This DNT TLK 2 STRANGERZ!!!!! hysteria ruined the social aspect of internet, at least, it played a part in it. I don’t understand how facebook can post your location and shit, but you can’t talk to a stranger who knows nothing about you without it being weird. My mum never cared about this when I was younger, but that’s cause I used the internet from the 90s, and in the 90s, chatrooms were the shit. Everybody talked to everybody from everywhere, and there was no delusional fear or paranoia. That attitude she had just carried on through the years. When I got the internet back in like late ‘03, when I had just turned fourteen, and I was being treated like a 60 year old pedophile on every site I went, I was like ‘what the fuck is going on?! a jus wnt sum m8z:(‘.
